To Whom It May Concern:
Laurie Flower is the the best person you could have to make a birth experience pleasant, comfortable and empowering no matter what the mother desires from her birth. She has taught me so much about natural labor and how to better support a woman naturally through the most exciting moment of her life. She does it it all with a humble and kind demeanor, yet can be firm when things get intense. Her close to twenty years experience would make me recommend her alone. She is always looking out for the well being of mom and baby, and is very well read in recent research. Laurie goes far above and beyond her job description, any woman would be very lucky to have her as part of her healthcare team.

To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is in support of Laurie Flower and her current search for employment as a Doula and childbirth educator. We are extremely busy practice of two physicians and two nurse practitioners providing obstetrical and gynecologic services for a rural area between Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. Our patients include those being seen at our offices and those being seen at our offices and those being delivered by five family practice physicians in our area for whom we provide coverage.
Our patients are thrilled with the support and education they receive from Laurie during their pregnancies. She provides a well balanced look at the options and information available for our expectant mothers. This has included nutrition, excises, supplements, breasts care, directed reading, and childbirth preparation.
We as providers of medical care enjoy our relationship with Laurie as part of the patient’s “birth team”. Laurie can provide excellent encouragement and comfort for the patient and her family as they make decisions regarding the course of their labor and postpartum period. She at all times has been respectful to nursing and physician care, opinion, and counseling. She had never created an additional barrier to overcome when care needs to be redirected for the safety of our moms and babies. I appreciate Laurie’s ability to support our patients by encouraging them to rise to their full potential physically, and in communion with their chosen family support.
We miss Laurie’s services and wish her well in her pursuits to continue to help women and their partners prepare and welcome their cherished babies into the world. Please feel free to contact our office for more information or comment.
Best regards,
Dana S. Lovell, M.D.

To Whom It May Concern;
I have known and worked with Laurie for approximately two years. She has offered her doula services to several of my clients and has always conducted herself in a professional manner. She is friendly to her clients and the staff of the hospital in which she provides services for laboring mothers. She is always a patient advocate and works to provide the utmost care and the best experience that a woman can have giving birth. It has been a real privilege knowing and working with Laurie. I highly recommend her services to any pregnant patient that needs a good support person.

To Whom It May Concern:
Ms. Flower created a very calming atmosphere in the birthing suite through her demeanor, the room arrangements and enhancements of music and fragrances were pleasing additions for the patient.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Laurie Flower, her performance working as a doula has proved that she would be a valuable asset to any practice.
I first got to know Laurie when I was a teenager fifteen years ago. During high school, the church Laurie attended, gave a 'prayer breakfast' the first Wednesday of every month for adolescents in the community. During one of these breakfasts, Laurie was the speaker. Her talk was on the pressures we face as teenagers and her emphasis was on abstinence. Laurie gave a touching personal testimony that day and it influenced me greatly. From this first encounter, I saw Laurie as the role model for the woman I wanted to become. Since then, I have become a registered nurse and a Lamaze certified childbirth educator at Clinton Memorial Hospital in labor and delivery. I now know Laurie in the professional realm. I have witnessed Laurie's amazing natural ability to support women in their birth experiences as their doula.
I have been the nurse on duty for three births in which Laurie has been the patient's doula. Through observation, I can recommendation Laurie for her ability to provide continuous hand on support, calming voice, and strong advocacy for that particular patient's “wish-list”. I have seen the remarkable rapport she has with her clients and the way her clients trust her. Laurie's keen knowledge of normal birth, labor support, and patient advocacy comes out in the way she cares for her clients.
To anyone who is seeking a true professional at supporting and enhancing the birth experience, I would highly recommend Laurie Flower. She will be a great asset and an extremely positive addition to any program. I would be glad to share any further information needed for this recommendation.
