Postpartum Doula Services & Fees

The childbearing year certainly does not end at the birth of your child/children.  One might think that the birth is considered to be the climatic event of the childbearing year; in fact the work has just begun.  With every blessing comes much responsibility.

Postpartum work differs from family to family, from day to day.  It can be full time, part-time, short-term, and even perhaps long term.  I want to nurture the whole family, and especially pamper the mother.  I want my services to bring peace and self-confidence to your family’s new needs.  Anticipation and Beyond Postpartum Doula Services wants to create a safe and loving environment amongst the chaos and sleepless nights.  I have no parenting agenda or particular approach, just many years of experience nurturing mothers and babies. Postpartum Doulas give emotional, physical, and household support, as well as specialized care.  For centuries, women have taken care of women that have recently birthed a child. Mothering the mother is essential for the recovery and health of the new mom.

Postpartum support can be used in addition to family and friends, that way they can enjoy you and your baby instead of mundane household duties.  I can ease the enduring tasks of a newborn entering into the family.  Some families like doula support from an un-bias, experienced professional instead of the support from family members.  As new parents, or parents who are adding to their family crew, you and your mate can take time to fall in love with your new addition.

It takes time to muddle through the first weeks of having a new family addition.  At times experience and a listening ear can be the key to emotional security, which is as important as the physical support.

Please contact me for further information about my postpartum doula services.  Anticipation and Beyond Doula Services has a minimum of three hours per visit, and you will be charged hourly per visit.  Hourly charges will be discussed at the time of contact.

Pricing for postpartum doula work: $25.00 an hour for a minimum of three hours per visit
